We all know that becoming an Affiliate is the easy part, but have you given any thought as to what it will take for you to become a successful affiliate and or even maintain your success?
How many times have you stepped out of your comfort zone and challenged yourself to create a FACEBOOK page or a YouTube channel?
Good for you! How did that go?
Did you find yourself being active during the first few weeks when it came to delivering content, but then suddenly you found yourself slowing down or stopping?
Maybe it’s because you didn’t feel like you were connecting with your audience? Maybe you didn’t see your subscribers, likes, or followers increase in those first 2-3 weeks? Well for whatever the reason, don’t worry because you’re not alone. There are so many reasons why it feels like “FAILURE” but it’s not. It’s you “LEARNING” and to progress, that’s how you must see it.
Obviously with “LEARNING” comes change. You simply must take the time to really learn as much about what it is you are trying to achieve and apply those learnings.
For starters, to achieve different results, it requires the decision to change. You must “WANT” to change.
One key ingredient to success is creating GOOD HABITS, but in order to create good habits, it will require great “CONSISTENCY”.
Here’s an interesting fact according to a well-known study known as “Lally’s study”. It takes a person anywhere from 18 days to 254 days to create a habit, and 2-8 months to build a new behavior into your life to support your habit.
Best way to turn the corner with creating “GOOD HABITS” is to start with goals that are smaller and more achievable. Doing this will keep you focused and motivated, which is what you want and what you need.
So, when it comes to revisiting why your YouTube channel has very little subscribers or your Facebook page isn’t growing with followers… you might want to ask yourself, “Do I provide content “Consistently”? Publishing a video each week for two weeks and then waiting 2 weeks to publish another isn’t going to get you the results you desire.
It’s time for CHANGE. It’s time to create a plan to help you deliver consistency.
It is known that if you take just 1% out of a 24-hour day, it adds up close to 15 minutes. So, start by simply taking just 1% out of your day to plan; a simple 15 minutes can give you the results you desire.
Take Action: (Example using YouTube)
- Start by taking a calendar to choose a specific day like Tuesday. Commit that every Tuesday and Thursday you will consistently deliver video content on your YouTube channel. Be sure to hold yourself accountable.
- Maybe use Fridays to start putting together content for your next Tuesday and Thursday videos.
- Make a commitment to do this for at least 1-2 months while making sure you learn something from each week. That’s 16 videos in (2) months. If you think that’s not reasonable, then make that call before you start instead of taking a risk at upsetting your subscribers.
- In turn – you will begin to have subscribers who look forward to every Tuesday and Thursday, because they know this is when you will unleash the “Kraken” of great content.
Success requires consistency that creates a habit whichall starts with a plan.
Remember to start small. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Take a moment to learn more about connecting with your viewers. This will allow you to learn the best way to capture your audience and grow your business.
